The safety and health of the community is our first priority. Given the circumstances around COVID-19, we’ve taken precautionary measures to help keep our community safe. While we are currently open and operating, we’re closely monitoring the situation and will continue to communicate with local health officials to determine the best course of action. In 2018, Colony Square reached its 50th anniversary. To celebrate, we had an idea to introduce a new series: ’People of Colony Square’—focused on people who have lived, worked and played at The Square and share their stories, their favorite memories of Midtown, what it was like back then and what they look forward to seeing as we transform the South’s first mixed-use community into Midtown Atlanta’s Living Room.
"Being around so many different people, every walk of life, and all the professionals we get to be around is great. They are all in the mindset of getting things done. That is a contagious mentality..."
"What I am most excited about for Colony Square, is having more energy around. Being able to go downstairs from our condo and walk directly into an upbeat urban environment is awesome. Another thing is that Logan and I are not very big on cooking. So, with all the many food options that are coming, it will be easy to have things available at our front door."
"What I am most excited about with all the upgrades is the iPic Theater! Because I do so many film screening events, Colony Square can now be the perfect place host them; especially, since I’ll only have to take an elevator ride down to the venue! I am also looking forward to the new restaurants. Seeing promotional signs of what’s to come, the mockups of The Plaza, and what the experience will be like - all of it is just incredible!"
“Living in Midtown allows you to have a big city lifestyle where that may not exist a mile away. You are literally in the heart of everything.”
"What matters most in encouraging people to walk more is the presence of other people and having destinations worth walking to. On both, Midtown is a big winner. I’m thrilled that the Midtown Alliance and others have brought high density, mixed-use developments to Midtown and made walking a top priority."
