ATLANTA (May 28, 2020) – Spaces, a FlexSpace working environment specializing in dynamic and flexible workspaces, will welcome guests to its newly expanded flagship Midtown location at Colony Square, the mixed-use destination being redeveloped by North American Properties (NAP), on June 1. Spaces now occupies the first, second and third floors of Building 400, with the first floor opening up to the soon-to-be-completed Plaza at Colony Square.
Spaces fuses creative workspaces with a unique entrepreneurial spirit, harvesting a community of thinkers, achievers and imaginers. With various FlexSpace offerings from memberships to designated desks and office spaces to meeting rooms, Spaces offers flexible options to fit every schedule and need.
Understanding that some of the Colony Square office tenants may need additional space for employees returning to the work environment, Spaces has created a variety of offers and incentives designed to assist the businesses within Colony Square, allowing them to take advantage as social distancing remains a priority. The FlexSpace company is taking steps to ensure a safe work environment by increasing cleaning with a focus on high touchpoints, encouraging physical distancing through informational signage with protocols on how to move around the building and adding space in between seating in meeting rooms.
“While the future remains uncertain, our team at Spaces is committed to helping individuals achieve their goals by offering adaptable workspaces as needs change,” said Jane Kropf, area vice president at IWG. “We are excited to unveil our new flagship Midtown location, welcome back our valued members and introduce the concept to individuals looking to redefine their office environment.”
Both Colony Square and Spaces focus on the future of the workplace and how to best optimize the experience for workers and guests. The alignment in values between the two resulted in Spaces’ location at the heart of the property, right across from The Plaza and next to Colony Square’s full-service Concierge, which members of Spaces will have direct access to. The 43,000-square-foot space features several common area amenities for members, including areas on the first floor for tenants to gather and commune, a rooftop balcony overlooking Peachtree Street and outdoor seating.
“Being in the heart of Midtown, we are constantly inspired by the neighborhood’s energy and aim to provide environments where our guests, residents and tenants can create meaningful connections,” said Tim Perry, partner and chief investment officer at NAP. “The culture at Colony Square has always been focused on collaboration and exceptional community experiences, even during challenging times. We are excited to safely bring the community back together and have Spaces be a part of that family.”
On May 4, NAP debuted its COVID-19 response program Better Together at Colony Square in preparation of its office tenants returning to work. Better Together deploys unique initiatives to create a safe workplace, including a new Elevator Concierge program to welcome office tenants back and navigate the “new normal,” as well as a major $280,000 investment in UVC lighting to purify and destroy airborne bio-contaminants. A full list of safety measures being taken at the property can be found on Colony Square’s website.
In addition to Spaces, Colony Square will soon welcome AYA Medical Spa, Brown Bag Seafood Co., Holeman and Finch, Rumi’s Kitchen, American Barber Shop and IPIC. The resort-level hospitality program, including the full-service Concierge, will launch this summer.
Upon completion, Colony Square will be home to 160,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space, 940,000 square feet of office space, a 466-room W Hotel and 262 upscale residences.
