Politan Group answers demand for private event space addition at award-winning speakeasy

ATLANTA (Sept. 7, 2023) – As Politan Group continues its bullish run on Atlanta, the hospitality-driven operator today announced plans to expand Jojo’s Beloved Cocktail Lounge (Jojo’s) and add an 800-square-foot private event venue to the 1970s-themed speakeasy located in Politan Row at Colony Square. Construction on the space, dubbed the “Roselight Room,” is now underway. It is expected to open early December, just in time for holiday soirees.

A nod to the City’s historical disco era and the infamous Limelight club that once stood on the since-demolished Disco Kroger site, the Roselight Room will feature a similar vibe as Jojo’s, boasting a matching color scheme, modular furniture, a light-up floor, and suspended disco ball. It will also have its own private restrooms and bar. Woman-owned architecture firm Bell-Butler is once again leading the design charge.

The Roselight Room has direct connections to Jojo’s and Politan Row at Colony Square. Party sizes ranging from 20 to 130 guests can be accommodated by combining both areas and select food hall restaurants will provide catering options.

“Private dinner parties are the most popular event requests we receive for Jojo’s, and although guests can currently buy out the lounge, service is restricted to beverages only,” said Will Donaldson, CEO of Politan Group. “Our team has worked extremely hard to make Jojo’s cocktail program a top five offering in Atlanta, and we believe this addition will be very well-received by the community, further proving the concept’s success.”

While the Roselight Room will primarily act as a private event venue, public cocktail service will be available in the space on weekends. Politan Row at Colony Square’s signature Dead Poets Society event is also expected to return on Monday nights this winter and be held in the Roselight Room with limited seating.

Located in the bustling heart of Atlanta, Politan Row at Colony Square anchors Midtown’s Living Room. The 20,000-square-foot food hall encompasses 11 unique dining concepts and three bars, including the renowned Jojo’s. Politan Row at Colony Square opens daily at 11 a.m.
